Dust ya dancing shoes! PTYLTD and friends expanded a normal Thursday BBQ at their shared studio into a veritable food and music frenzy.
The trio, Peter G (keys) and twins Tim (bass/vox) and Danny (drums), invited guest musicians Julian (percussion) and Grant (guitar) along for the ride, and together, they more than filled out the enormous warehouse space they played from. Their signature funky house music, complete with samples, synths, and their unmistakable falsetto vocals will have you dancing on the rooftops.

Seafood was the order of the day, and with a little help from Raptis Seafood, Tim arranged a feast with snapper, octopus, scallops and crab. Julien was at home in the kitchen, and he guided the band through some fantastic dishes, including an extremely aromatic Crab Red Thai Curry.

After some lessons in how to use a juicer, Peter G prepared Vodka cocktails in a show of respect to his Russian roots; but not a lot of juice made it into the cups. Danny modified the juicer with some "tech" - demonstrating that a bit of gaff can fix anything.
Tim, espousing the wonders of aluminium foil, wrapped the snapper for the BBQ, and Julian quietly continued his curry, whilst lending a hand with the other dishes.
Knowing his place, Danny opened cans, cleared up dishes, and did all the odd stuff a drummer at the bottom of the food chain must do, as Grant and Peter G amused themselves with drums and rhymes.

A few friends dropped in and out, joining the feast. Was it good? Oh yes – as Danny commented, the whole snapper was like Christmas. Peter G thought is was like a quarter chicken and chips. Tim summed it up, “This is what life’s all about.”
