These days, solo artist Andrew “Moz” Morris usually performs with his long-time friends, The Dry Bones, but with no band mates in sight, he proved the strength of his songs and performance ability with a bare bones rendition of five of his alt-country tunes.
Moz bravely turned his hand to the piano for two songs, and played guitar for three. His small audience – good mates Shae and Ian , and girlfriend, Kelly - watched on prior to entering the kitchen.
Moz’s ties to his past life as waiter at an Indian restaurant came to the fore: he chose a number of Indian dishes, starting with and entrée of Onion Bhajis. “Hhhhello Ladies….”

It was the first time he’d cooked the bhaji’s… a few nerves. But it’s pretty clear that Moz knows his way around the kitchen. Anyone with a well-stocked spice box like his must be serious about their food!
Andrew enlisted Ian to chop the onions and Kelly to help with the accompanying chutney: fresh herbs and a few little guys. Apart from a little wayward beer upon serving, the dish worked perfectly.

The main of Goa Fish Curry featured Queen Fish – the chicken of the sea; along with dry roasted herbs, ground with big bibos.

Brisbane’s secret Tamarind reserves are no longer a hidden treasure: Andrew reveals the joys of Tamarind. And the joy of pickling… and a book featuring some Indian guy who looks great.
Shae was charged with the salad, and she and Andrew reminisced about primary school years, featuring a certain nun – possibly 6ft under.
Finally, Mango Lassis dedicated to Peter Allen were served for dessert, although they were a little hard to fit in after so much good food!
Will a career in Test Cricket be next?

Hi Andrew,??Peter and I enjoyed watching you and your friends cook. All your receipes looked good I will be trying out the Goan Fish - my only advise is you should always wash rice before cooking (unless it is Australian rice) as I have seen the rice being thrashed in India and it is done on to the floor so trust me I buy the Basmati rice in a 5Kg sack and it is quite dusty - wash it in a separate bowl then put into your rice cooker with water up to the level marked within the cooker that is if you are cooking 5 cups rice the water level should be to the marked level inside the cooker you will get perfectly cooked and tasty rice. Having said that overall the music and cooking show was very enjoyable to watch. Cheers, Angela

Andrew, your music was fantastic and your recipes looks like a lot of fun to make! Yours was the first eposide I've seen and I'm hooked already. Btw, I'm originally from Brisbane but now living interstate... I heard that you can pick tamarind seeds from the trees in Westend too!!! Look forward to coming home and picking some myself ...You know you can eat them straight of the tree...I hope they're the sweeter variety ...Should be fun!!!.
