Glasshouse prove that you don’t have to be depressed people to play music that, in their own words, “comes out depressive”. Yes, you can sing about hard-hitting issues and still be happy people.
And of course, a few drops of wine from the Glasshouse vineyard definitely helps the happy-factor.

So on a fine day in Dan’s open-plan kitchen and living area, the band sat down for an acoustic set with a bottle of pinot gris, before embarking on a three course vegetarian meal. A vegetarian meal in the interest of humanitarianism. Or, as Raven postulates, because vegetarians are better people :-)
Sticking with pre-determined roles from the outset, Dan (head chef) and Matt (the apprentice) did most of the cooking.
Stew and Raven (a.k.a Statler and Waldorf) commented from the sidelines and assisted with other bits and pieces to keep the process smooth; things like fixing Matt’s hair, cleaning the benches, and tending to the wine cellar. The latter proving to be a busy job.
The eggplant-based entrée didn’t prove to be as popular as Dan had hoped, with Raven and Matt not convinced that the dish was too much more than hot balsamic vinegar.

Things became a little messy as the wine started to sink in, but the band forged ahead and completed a tasty main course, timed to perfection by the tomato timer, and balanced to perfection with the inclusion of only one genetically modified zucchini.
Dan and Matt took over camera operation as the band sat down to the main. The Creamy Vegetarian Pasta of Doom was washed down with wine. And more wine. And wine with Raven’s fingers in it. So the dish was received well, although Raven was keen for some vegemite toast.

The band headed back to the kitchen to prepare the dessert. Once the missing thyme had been located, Raven got stuck into the dirty dishes, and the rest of the band prepared the delectable Butter Peaches.
As the peaches cooked, Dan acknowledged Stew’s ongoing contribution as the sensible band member, prompting the group to compare shoes.
The tomato timer spoke, and the peaches were served. With wine.
We didn’t see Raven under the Christmas tree as speculated.
